Thantos tossed Marcus to the ground, deflected Solo's attack, and turned on me in a nanosecond. It was pretty epic.

Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate -- ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?
I would never go into a book that I think I would hate, maybe not love, but never hate. Unless its required for school, like when I started reading the Scarlet Pimpernel I was afraid that it was going to be like Frankenstein, just boring and in the end I loved it. That's the closest I have ever been to starting a book thinking I would hate. I knew there is also times when I started reading a book where I didn't think I would love it, but there hasn't been I time, outside of school, where I start a book I think I am going to hate.
That's my answer, what's your's?
Happy reading.

ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Meme Post
The series is really great :D
DeleteThanks for stopping by my FF! I agree, my feelings are "why waste my time or money on a book I will most likely hate?"
ReplyDeleteChelsea @ Starbucks & Books Obsession
Your welcome :D
DeleteI don't usually read books I think I'll hate, but a couple of times I have been surprised by a book that I just read out of boredom(;

Agree, life is too short to read a book I think I will hate. Thanks to Goodreads and book blogs, its fairly easy now to make well informed decisions before buying.
ReplyDeleteBookishTrish @ Between the Lines
Thank god for goodreads, without it I would forget half the books on my TBR pail.
DeleteI haven't read Scarlet Pimpernel. I try to choose carefully so I can enjoy every book I read. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier.
You should read the Scarlet Pimpernel, its such a great book :D
DeleteAgreed! I might read a book that I know I won't love but not one that I know I will hate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by - old follower :)
_ Nyx @ Unraveling Words
I don't know why somebody would read a book they think they would hate, unless its for school.
DeleteI've never read the Scarlett Pimpernel, I have seen the musical though, but I'm sure that's a bit different. Thanks for visiting my FFF. Old follower.
ReplyDeleteI've never read The Scarlet Pimpernel! But I have read Frankenstein. Wasn't a fan of Frankenstein.
ReplyDeleteAs to why I didn't like City of Fallen Angels...
I hated what she did to Jace. I hated that she had to extend the series at all. And frankly, it was boring. I can't even remember half of it.

ReplyDeleteI have yet to read the Scarlet Pimpernel! Now I'm gonna have to add that one in.
I kinda agree- if you're gonna hate it, why go into it?

Beth @ Free Spirit Books
Same. I used to read all types of books no matter the vibe I got off of them, but now that I'm in high school with limited reading time, I have to pick and choose the ones I think I'll like.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Old follower.
Daphne @ Reading Until Dawn
That's a great '56' quote! But then, that's Jennifer Armentrout!
ReplyDeleteThe most recent book I read that I thought I would hate was "The Demon Trapper's Daughter". I did kinda hate it at first. Then I ended up loving it!!
Thanks for sharing!! :)
I had to read Tess of the d'Urbervilles at school- and I hated it!
ReplyDeleteI'm an old follower :)
Great answer Kimberly. Who has time to read books they think they're going to hate when there's so many others you know you're going to like?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF!
