Top Ten Books I HAD To Buy...But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread

There are a lot of books that fall in this category on my book shelf. And believe it or not, but these books make up half my TBR shelf. A fact that I am proud of since I have been trying to read the books on my TBR shelf. These books are in no order.

1. Override by Heather Anastasiu.
Right after I finished reading Glitch I went out and bought this expecting to read it as soon as I could. As you can see that never happened.

2. Rapture by Lauren Kate.
A lot of people hat this series and I loved it up until the third book were I skipped about half of it, because it was really slow. Even though I didn't like the third one I still really like the series. So, when I saw this book at Wallmart I got it planning to read it that week, but it never happened.

3. Dearly Departed by Lia Habel.
I have heard nothing but praise for this book and I thought it would be a good book to introduce my into the zombie world. I even started reading this and it was great, but I wasn't in the mood for a zombie book so I put it down.

4. Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.
Again, I have heard nothing but praise for this one and I really like destopyion so I got it. I also tryed reading this, but again I wasn't in the mood for this kind of book.

5. A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray.
This book looked right up my alley and I love the cover of it so I got it when I saw that it released in paperback and I never read it.

6. The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson.
I didn't hear much about this book when I got it, just one review saying it was good. When I saw it in the store and read the back it looked great and wonderful so I got it right away and I haven't read it yet.

7. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi.
For the third time now, I have heard nothing but praise for this book and I got it when I come out in paperback planning to read it that night, but I never got around to it.

8. The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson.
I found this book while browsing Barnes & Noble and when I read the back I had to have it, because it looked awesome and the cover it beautiful. Anyway, I was distracted by another book and kind of forgot this one.

9. Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols.
It is not a secret that I love Jennfier Echols and when I found this book hiding behind another book I was so excited!! I bought it and never read it.

10. Once Every Never bt Lesley Livingston.
This book is by far the book that has been in my TBR shelf the longest, I have had it for about 3 years. I love this authors other series, the Wondrous Strange series and when I saw that she was coming out with another series I was super excited. So, I got it and never read it.

That's my top ten, whats yours?
Happy reading.

  1. The Uglies sat on my shelf for a long time. When I finally read it, I kicked myself for not reading it sooner! This series is so good. And Such A Rush is my current read.

  7. I've seen the Uglies series on a lot of lists. It's actually one of the first YA dystopian series I read and I really enjoyed it. I hope you get a chance to read it!

  8. So funny. I have much the same problem as you. I have read a few on your list that I checked out from the library, but haven't brought myself to continue to read the series. But Such A Rush is definitely still sitting on my shelf unread, as is Under the Never Sky, which I have SIGNED in hardcover as well as an ebook. Thanks for visiting my TTT.

I have to read The Uglies and The Adoration of Jenna Fox too! To think we both have never read it before, especially since they are both so popular and both so old!
