Goodreads Summary

Before you find out how their story ends, remember how it began....

When he opens his eyes, Willem doesn’t know where in the world he is—Prague or Dubrovnik or back in Amsterdam. All he knows is that he is once again alone, and that he needs to find a girl named Lulu. They shared one magical day in Paris, and something about that day—that girl—makes Willem wonder if they aren’t fated to be together. He travels all over the world, from Mexico to India, hoping to reconnect with her. But as months go by and Lulu remains elusive, Willem starts to question if the hand of fate is as strong as he’d thought. . . .

If you didn't see my review for Just One Day I loved it! It blew me away. With the ending it had I started reading this one right away. I know sometimes sequels of books you love don't reach your expectations and leave you disappointed, but not this one.  This one was just as good as Just One Day and I loved it so much!!! All of the great aspects of Just One Day, the great characters, heartwarming themes, outstanding writing, and additive plot, were in this one as well. I was so hooked in this story that I read this one book in just one day (do you get it? It's a play on words, get it? Oh never mind).

This one is about what happened in Willem's life in that year in which Allyson and Willem were apart. It tells us what happens in his life, how he was when they got separated, ect. Sadly though, and this is the only thing I didn't like about this book, it didn't show their day together. He looks back on their day in Paris often, but it never showed us that whole day. I was really looking forward to seeing that day from his POV, but oh well.

This one had the same feel to it and the same driving force of the plot as Just One Day had. It is about how their day together and their love for one another helped change themselves and their lives. There is just as much character development for Willem in this book as there was for Allyson in the first book. It was also written just as wonderfully as it was in Just One Day. However, the difference between each book is that while in the first book that day in Paris gives Allyson the strength to change, in this book is instead sets off a chain of events that helps improve Willem's life and gives him the chance to find stability in his life. It was so amazing to read his relationship with his mother get better and his life in general. Also, his memory of Allyson and his admiration of her helps gives him the courage to face these changes in his life and accept them.

The writing, as usually, was amazing and fantastic! Its so poetic, but it's not overly so that it overwhelms you. The character development was, again, amazing! Gayle Forman is just so brilliant at writing fleshed out characters and character development!

This one was just as great and outstanding as Just One Day! I loved it so much and it was an amazing continuation of Willem and Allyson's story! It has the same amazing characters, gripping plot, and beautiful writing as the first one had. If you haven't started this series, please do so because it is fantastic and I love it!

-Side note- Be aware that this leaves off at the same part as Just One Day did so have a copy of Just One Night ready to devour after finishing this.

-Side, side note- Read this one before reading Just One Night because it makes the reading experience for this one and Just One Night so much better.

This book got....
