Broken Computer Announcement

Hey guys, you know how earlier this month I said I was not taking a break this month? I said that with total confidence, but then my computer broke and for a while it seemed I lost all of my NaNoWriMo words. However, I was able to save everything from my old computer and was able to borrow another computer to write, although that computer could not connect to the internet. So, I've been unable to go on the internet until today and that's why I haven't posted anything in a week or commented on any posts.

I will be continuing on my regular schedule starting tomorrow.

I'm Doing NanoWrimo

If you don't know what NaNoWriMo is it is the National Novel Writing Month. During November writers try to write 50,000 words in the 30 days of November. You can sign up to participate and track your status at NaNoWriMo.

This post is just me telling you that things at the blog are going to slow down a bit. I don't want to stop posting things entirely because last year I did that and it took forever to start posting things regularly after that and I don't want to deal with that. However, even though I am going to try to post at least once a week, I don't know how successful I will be at it.

This also means that commenting and visiting other blogs will slow down as well. I am really sad about this, but it is what it is.

If you are participating in NaNoWriMo add me as a buddy my screen name is Kimmy with Notes.

Harry Potter Re-read Along

HarryPotter1Line

Hello peoples! I was just browsing the blogosphere and I came across this brilliant Harry Potter Re-Read Along over at Book Journey . You can sigh up HERE

This is, as you guessed it, a Harry Potter series Re-read along. It is five months long, giving you plenty of time to read the whole series. Here's the reading time for each book and I know this post is a little late, but I still really want to participate.

Nov 1 – Nov. 16 – The Sorcerer’s Stone

Nov 17 – Dec. 6th – Chamber Of Secrets

Dec. 7 – Dec. 29th –  The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Dec 30th – Jan 20th – The Goblet Of Fire

Jan. 21st – Feb 13th – Order Of The Phoenix

Feb. 14th – March 7th – The Half Blood Prince

March 8th – March 31st – The Deathly Hallows

This Read Along is really cool because you can chose a house, or be sorted into one, and by participating in posts and commenting you can gain house points to help your house win. You are also sorted into years based on how many books you've already read in the series.

October Wrap-Up

October was a mixed month for me. I was not in a reading slump, nor did I get into one. I'm counting that as an accomplishment because it was a busy freaking month. School just seemed to speed up and there were so many assignments due throughout the month that I barely had time to read. However, I did manage to read four books and I am proud of that.

I will not be making a November TBR because I don't plan on reading a lot and since I"m probably only going to read 2 books I want to have my options open.

Books Read: 4
The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson| 4 Butterflies
Going to Far by Jennifer Echols| 4 Butterflies
The Young Elites by Marie Lu| 4 Butterflies
The Darkest Minds Alexandra Bracken| 4 Butterflies

Reviews: 4

Opposition  by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Just One Night by Gayle Forman

Burned by Ellen Hopkins
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Book of the Month:

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
This was such a freaking amazing book!

How did you do in October?
Happy November reading!

Predictions and Hopes (6) Mortal Heart

My Review of Grave Mercy: Here
My Review of Dark Triumph: Here

Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers
Release Date: November 4th

Annith has watched her gifted sisters at the convent come and go, carrying out their dark dealings in the name of St. Mortain, patiently awaiting her own turn to serve Death. But her worst fears are realized when she discovers she is being groomed by the abbess as a Seeress, to be forever sequestered in the rock and stone womb of the convent. Feeling sorely betrayed, Annith decides to strike out on her own.

She has spent her whole life training to be an assassin. Just because the convent has changed its mind doesn't mean she has..

I love this Historical Fiction/ Assassin series and I can't wait for this one to release! To be honest I don't have a lot of theories on what is going to happen in this book. The summary is really kind of vague on what happens besides Annith leaving so that doesn't really help me. And since we as readers haven't really seen a lot of Annith in this series before this I don't have a feel for her character and I can't say what her decisions will be.

The one thing that I think will happen is that Annith helps the Duchess, whether knowingly or unknowingly. I believe this will happen because the Duchess's story is the plot that connects all of the books and I think the author will stick with that aspect.

I hope somewhere along the way Annith crosses paths with Ismae and Sybella and they help her. Annith has left the convent and so has Ismea and Sybella, so I think they can help her decide if she wants to go back or not and I want to see them interact as friends. Also I want to see how Sybella and Beast are doing because the ending of Dark Triumph left a lot to wonder about.

What I am really excited to read in this book is to see what.....trait Annith is. Ismae was Mercy, Sybella was Justice and so I'm curious on what Annith is. I have absolutely no idea what it could be, what trait follows the pattern? Vengence maybe, but Sybella's story kind of followed that one, so what could Annith be? If you have any clue comment because it's fun to guess about it.

What do you think will happen in this book?
