WORLDS KEPT THEM APART.

DESTINY BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER.

Aria has lived her whole life in the protected dome of Reverie. Her entire world confined to its spaces, she's never thought to dream of what lies beyond its doors. So when her mother goes missing, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland long enough to find her are slim.

Then Aria meets an outsider named Perry. He's searching for someone too. He's also wild - a savage - but might be her best hope at staying alive.

If they can survive, they are each other's best hope for finding answers.

I finally caved and read this book. Like most I have heard nothing but praise for this book. So, after having the book for how many months and watching everyone fangirl over the release of the second one I finally read it. I am betting myself up for not reading it sooner. This book was great!! There is no two ways about that. However, there was some things I didn't like about this (namely Aria.)

Since this book has been review so many times and all these things have been said so many times I will just quickly go over them. Plot was great, it was slow in some places, but I never got bored. Even though when I was reading the side a the story I didn't like I still kept reading, because the plot had me captive since the first page. And the world was the best thing in this book to me! I love how the author did the sky and I loved how the outsiders where like Indians. I just loved everything about this world!

This book is dual POV, switching every other chapter between our main characters Perry, an outsider, and Aria, a dweller. And their stories crash together and they fall in love. The first and only thing that annoyed me in this book was Aria's character. I have no reason to explain why, I don't know if she was written badly, or if its just me, but whatever it was I just got so annoyed with her. When it came to reading her chapters I really didn't care about her story or her life, to tell you the truth. And in the first part of the book I got confused reading her chapters, because of how confusing thoughts. I only read them, because I knew I had to to get to Perry's side of the story. However, as the story progressed her character grew into a character that I respected and liked. And when that happened I wanted to read her chapters as much as Perry's chapters, but I still didn't like her as much as I liked other characters.

This is becoming a trend and I don't like it and that is me not realizing how much I love characters and a plot in a book until what ever twists the author throws in at the end. This happened to me not only in this book, but from my last three reads. When the end was winding down I didn't want it to end, because I learned how emotionally invested I was in these characters (Except Aria) and I did not want this book to end!

One last thing, I really loved the romance in this book!! I loved how it was slow-building and I loved how Aria and Perry where perfect for each other! I also loved how it was the the love of to people knowing it won't last and excepting that and just socking up each others company while they can. The author wrote this just brilliantly, it was like you could feel their love from the page, you could just know they loved each other.

All in all, this book is everything the hype says it is!! I loved it so much and I can't wait to read the second one. However, I couldn't give it 5 Butterflies, because I didn't like Aria all that much. I would recommend this book to everybody, whether your a dystopian fan or a love story fan.

This book got...

 4 Butterflies
Beloved, This is a really good book.

Reccomdend if you like: Dystopian, Love Stories, and a great world.

Happy reading.

  1. This book started off slowly for me, but when I reached the last few chapters, I didn't want it to end, either! The slow-building romance was definitely a high point of the book for me, too. Great review!

  2. Yeah, I hate it when I'm so in love with one character that I rush through the chapter told from the point of view of the other character to get to the chapter with the character I do like. Happened to me while reading Pivot Point.
    Overall, nice review Kimberly! (:
