When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her on a trip to the Louvre…to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie traveled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she planned a con of her own—scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind. Unfortunately, leaving “the life” for a normal life proves harder than she’d expected.

Soon, Kat's friend and former co-conspirator, Hale, appears out of nowhere to bring Kat back into the world she tried so hard to escape. But he has a good reason: a powerful mobster has been robbed of his priceless art collection and wants to retrieve it. Only a master thief could have pulled this job, and Kat's father isn't just on the suspect list, he is the list. Caught between Interpol and a far more deadly enemy, Kat’s dad needs her help.

For Kat, there is only one solution: track down the paintings and steal them back. So what if it's a spectacularly impossible job? She's got two weeks, a teenage crew, and hopefully just enough talent to pull off the biggest heist in her family's history--and, with any luck, steal her life back along the way

                          My Thoughts

There were many thoughts in my head after I finished Heist Society. One of them was how fast paced and fantastic the plot was. The action literally started in the first chapter and it never stopped. I was at the edge of my seat through out must of this book, wondering what was going to happen next. That was another really great thing about this book; it was not predictable, because it seems to me all of the Summery kind of books I have read are really predictable. This book was anything but predictable. Just when I thought I knew what was about to happen, Ally Carter threw in a twist that I didn't see coming.

Another thing I thought was how much I loved some characters, Kat for example, but how I felt some characters needed more something to them, Hale for example. First off I want to say I loved Kat. She is one of the best female characters I have read so far this year. Second, I felt that some characters needed more development to them, and in this whole book I felt that Kat was the only one that had development.

Heist Society is a very exciting, fast paced summer book, with a plot that captivated me from the first page down to the last word, characters that I felt where fantastic, and some I felt needed something more, and a writing style that I fell in love with.

August wrap-up

It was a good month, if you just ignore the pesky thing called a reading slump. So, if you didn't figure it out by now, I was in a reading slump for the better part of August. I finally got out of it when I read Heist Society by Ally Carter, which was just last week. However, I still read a good amount of books in August.

The books I read in August are.......

The Pledge by Kimberly Derting: 4 Butterflies.

Two-Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt: 3 Butterflies.

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan: 4 Butterflies.

Balthazar by Claudia Gray: 4 Butterflies.

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder: 5 Butterflies.

Heist Society by Ally Carter: 4 Butterflies.

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter: 5 Butterflies.

The reviews I did in August:

Before I Wake by Rachel Vincent.

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Two-Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt.

Balthazar by Claudia Gray.

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

August book of the month.

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter.

I was torn between choosing Poison Study or The Goddess Test for the book of the month.. However, since this was my 5th time re-reading Poison Study I decided to give the book of the month to The Goddess Test.

Summer reading challenge:

If you do not know, I set a summer reading challenge for myself. I challenged myself to read 25 books between June 5 and September 5. I just wanted you to know that I reached my goal, Yah!!! I am also going to do a Fall reading challenge, more info on that coming soon.

That is all for now.
Happy reading.

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter.
I have been wanting to get this book for a long time, but every time I went to the book store I always saw I another book I wanted more, so I never got this one. So, I finally just went to the book store and looked at nothing else and got this book.

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.
I have heard so many good things about this book and I never really looked up what this book is about. I was out of books one day and I remembered this one. So, I went on the Barnes & Noble website and searched what it was about. When I read what it was about, it sounded interesting. The next time I want to the book store I decided to get this book.

 Amazon

They came!!!! They came!!! Finally after two and a half weeks of waiting they are here. YAH!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, a little background story before I tell you what I got.
I ordered these books in the second week of August and after about a week and a half of waiting for my books, I looked on Amazon and saw that my books didn't even ship yet. 0_0. What??? So, I wait and wait and wait and they still don't ship. So, finally last Wednesday they shipped and would you like to know when they got here????? They got here the next day, Thursday. So, I am mad that Amazon made me wait to read my books.

This is the second book in the Lux  series. I have read and loved the first book in this series, Obsidian. So, I cannot wait to read this book. I am hoping it is as good as Obsidian.

Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan.
This is the first book in the Sky Chasers series. I have heard so many good things about this book. Even though I am not big on Si-Fi, one of my favorite reviewers did a review on this book and said she loved it. So, I am going to read it and hope I love it to.
