Can't Wait Wednesday (4)

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly theme that I made. It was inspired by "Waiting On Wednesday" over at Breaking The Spine. Basically what "Can't Wait Wednesday" is about, is that I showcase a book that I can't wait to be released. I also showcase a book that is already released, but I can't wait to read.

This weeks book to be released is Throne of glass by Sarah J. Maas.

Released date: August 7th 2012
Publisher: Bloomsbury USA Children’s

Goodreads summary
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men—thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the kings council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she’ll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it’s the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

I love books where the main character is an assassin. ( Which is why I have been dying to read Grave Mercy.) I don't know why I just love them. I also love books that have court life in them. So it is not a shock that I am dying to read this book. It looks so good, and Celaena seems like an awesome heroine. All in all this looks like an awesome book.

The book that is already released is Destiny's Fire by TrishaWolfe.

Released: January 10th 2012
Publisher: Omnific Publishing

It’s the year 2040, and sixteen-year-old Dez Harkly is one of the last of her kind—part of a nearly extinct race of shape-shifters descended from guardians to the Egyptian pharaohs. Her home and her secret are threatened when the Council lowers the barrier, allowing the enemy race to enter the Shythe haven.

As the Narcolym airships approach, Dez and her friends rebel against their Council and secretly train for battle. Not only is Dez wary of war and her growing affection for her best friend Jace, but she fears the change her birthday will bring. When Dez’s newfound power rockets out of control, it’s a Narcolym who could change her fate... if she can trust him.

Dez’s guarded world crumbles when she discovers why the Narcos have really come to Haven Falls, and she's forced to choose between the race who raised her and the enemy she's feared her whole life.

This looks like it might be a Steampunk novel. And I am starting to really like thoses type of books. it just looks really, really good. I don't know what else to say, it just looks really good. I don't know why, it just does.

That is all,
what are you waiting for this week???

Quotes That Make You Swoon: What are some of the most swoon-worthy quotes you've experienced in a book?

Here are my top six swoon-worthy quotes from books that I own. Some are etdited, so they are all spoiler free.

" He kisses each cheekbone-- a delicious, skimming kiss, barely grazing my skin. "I love thee freely" he wispers.  from Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

" And I love you too" his fingers skate the edge of my jaw, dance briefly over my lips. " You should know that. You have to know that." From Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

"I love you" I whisper.
" And I love you" He smiles, His lips seeking mine. "Always have. Always will" From Evermore by Alyson Noel.

" I love you" I whispered, fisting my hands against his stomach. "You can't leave. You swore you wouldn't."
His hands came to rest over mine, twining our fingers together. "Even if the world stands against you" He murmured, bowing his head. "I Promise." from The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa.

" He laughed sofly, as if the very idea thrilled him. "Better get used to this face, your majestly. I plan to be here a long, long time. Probably forever."  From The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa.

" What do you want with me?" I said
"For starters?" His voice lowered to sexy, dangerous depths. " I want to introduce myself to every freckle on you body."  From Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

Aren't they just swoon-worthy???
