Best Books of 2014

Hi guys, since I missed the Top Ten Tuesday topic of this I decided to just do a regular post. Here are my top ten favorite books that I read in 2014. It was really hard to narrow this down because while I didn't read a lot of books this year I read a lot of good ones.

They are in no particular order.

1. Mistborn and The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
I'm counting these as one since they are in the same series (Its not cheating, I swear!!).

2. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
This book was just so relateable and beautifully written, I just fell in love with it

3. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
Even though this book disappointed me a little bit because it focused more on the love story instead of the rebellion I still loved it because the love story was amazing! I love a good love story and this was a great love story!

4. The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons
This book broke my heart so many times and I was an emotional mess when I was reading it.This is a huge book and I thought I would take forever to finish it but I got so invested in it that I read the whole thing in 2 1/5 days.

5. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
This was such a great start to this series! It didn't have any of the usually first book problems, the writing was breathtaking, and I got so invested in the characters (even the "bad" ones). I just love this book!!

6. Just One Day and Just One Year by Gayle Forman
I am also counting these as two, not only because they are a series, but also because they kind of tell the same story but in different POVs so it counts as one, right?
This is one of the few contemporary stories that I not only liked but loved!

7. The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa
Even though this book was a little predictable and I thought it was way to short, it was still a great ending to a beloved series.

8. The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas
I know this is just a collection of short stories, but it felt like one single story so I'm counting it as one book.

9. Lady Thief by A.C. Gaughen
Just as good as the first one, maybe even better. The writing is so good that I felt like I was actually in the story and at one point I forgot I was reading it and wasn't inside the story.

10. Ignite me by Tahereh Mafi
Even though this book had a lot of holes and problems in it I still loved it! I love this series so much and this book was great in my biased opinion.

~Honorable mentions~
The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
Cruel Beauty by Roseamund Hodge
The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Top Ten Tuesday (52)

Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2015 -- bookish, blogging or otherwise!

~Blogging~
1. Comment more
I know I say this every year, but I still want to put this on the list because it's true. I am horrible at commenting and commenting back to comments and I really want to change that in 2015. I am determined!!

2. Write more Predictions and Hopes
These are my favorite posts to write and I write so few of them. I don't know why, but in 2015 I want to write more of them, at least twice a month.

3. Write more discussions
I also love writing these and its been so long since I've posted one that it isn't funny. I love discussing things with you guys and I want to do it more often.

4. Visit more new blogs.
I feel like this year I visited very little new blogs and I'm ashamed at that. So in 2015 I want to visit and get to know more bloggers.

~Bookish~
1. Read all of Brandon Sanderson's books
Brandon Sanderson is one of my all time favorite authors and I've only read half of his books. So, in 2015 I resolve to read the rest of them, new and old releases. This might be difficult to do because the ones I haven't read from him are the really long ones and it might take me forever to read just one of those, let alone all of them.

2. Read 100 books
This is a really low pressured goal because I say this every year and if I don't make it to a 100 books I don't care that much. I picked a 100 books just because it sounded nice, I don't beat myself  up that much to make this goal.

3. Finish more goddamn series!
I am really good at starting series but horrible at finishing them. I have way to many open series and I really want to finish must if not some of them.

~Life~
1. Learn to play the guitar
I've been wanting to learn how to play the guitar for years and years but never actually doing anything to learn. But this year, this year I am going to learn it goddammit!! I don't need to play good, I just want to learn how to play.

What are your goals for 2015?

I'm Back (I mean it this time)

Hey guys, remember how in my last post I was saying I was back? Remember how that was posted that  more then a month ago and I never posted anything after that? (I'm ashamed!!) Well, I'm back and I'm really excited to start blogging again!

I'm really sorry I've been on a break so long, but not really.

I posted my last post in the middle of NanoWrimo with all the intentions to keep blogging, not every day, but at least once a week and not only posting but keeping up with all of you guys and your blogs and I failed miserably at that. NaNoWriMo took up my life because I was bound and determined to win (which I did, Yay!!) and then December hit and for whatever reason I did not feel ready to go back to blogging. I don't know why because I wasn't even that busy, I had some school stuff and the holiday season but I still had a lot of free time on my hands.

I'm not sorry that I stopped blogging for such a long time, because this is my hobby and I didn't want to do it. I don't want this blog to ever feel like a job, a chore, so when I wasn't in the mood to post anything I didn't force myself to. I wasn't going to force myself to do something just because I feel like I should do it. So, I am not sorry that I haven't been posting, what I am sorry for is not keeping up with you guys and your blogs. I consider a lot of you as friends and I feel really bad that I never went on your blogs to see how you're doing and to read your post and I'm sorry. But I am back now and I am trying to catch up.

So basically I'm really sorry that I've been away from the blogoshpere for so long, but I'm not sorry I took a break.
