Stacking the Shelves (71)

"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly theme hosted by Tynga's reviews . Feel free to join in if you want. In this theme I showcase all the books I got this week.

I've decided that starting right now I am putting myself on a book buying ban. I have to many unread books on my selves that I really want to read, but then before I get to them I buy new ones that distracts me from reading the old ones. So, from now on I will only allow myself to buy two books a month and any other books besides that can only be sequels in a series, and I have a limit of only two sequels.

So this will be my biggest haul for a while now.

Crash Into You by Katie McGarry
I can't wait to read this one!! I've heard some mixed things about this one, but I am still really excited to read this story!!

The Archived by Victoria Schwab
I've heard some amazing things about this book and I really can't wait to read it!! The whole summary of the book looks really interesting!!

Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
This one has a little story. So, my brother bought this copy a few months ago and was determined to read this book. He never really liked mass paperbacks, but he bought this anyways because he just really wanted to read this book. However, a few days ago he gave it to me because he claimed it was "broken". He doesn't like it when the spine breaks in a certain place, especially in a mass paperback. So, he gave it to me. I can't even really make fun of him, because I am just as picky as he is when it comes to a copy of a book.

Chantress by Amy Butler Greenfield
I got this from the library and when I saw it on the shelves I picked it. I heard some pretty good things about this one and it took reading only half of the summary to convince me to get it.

Naruto volume 59,40,36 by Massashi Kishimoto
I love this series!! I've been reading the manga and watching the anime since I was around ten. This series is part of my childhood and I love it so much!!! So of course I had to get this when I saw them on the library bookshelf.

That's what I got this week. What did you get?
Happy reading

  1. Nice haul! I didn't buy any books in January, but I did get The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and Firelight from the library. I'm going to buy Crash into You soon as well! Actually I'm going to get the whole series. I read the first two books on my e-reader, but I love them so much that I want them in hardcover as well. Hope you enjoy your books! :)

  5. I can't stand when spines are bent either! It irks me sooo bad. But I will still read the book. A Game of Thrones is a great book... long but great! Enjoy!

So many great books! I agree, the whole summary of The Archived sounds amazing, I've read The Near Witch by her and have been meaning to read this one too!
(I love your blog design! It makes me smile! It's so cold here and it reminds me of warmer weather and Springtime!)

  12. I'm on a library ban for the same reason. >_< I don't usually buy books, but I have a fair few I got from second-hand stores and Christmas, and I NEED to finish them before I start drowning myself in books for this year! I really want to read The Archived, too! My StS!

  13. Ironically, I have 45 volumes (V1-47 except for V31 & V38) of the *Naruto* manga just sitting on my shelf, needing to be read. But, I keep putting it off, since I couldn't get into the anime. Is the story of the manga alot better? (I keep hearing it is!) Would you recommend it?
